Got the Lox on a plain bagel and matcha latte. Lox was tasty and would get again but the matcha was alright.

Ate here today during my lunch break while working as a summer substitute paraprofessional at Hunters Point Community Middle School. I had brought and tried the chocolate rugelach with a cold bottle of orange and mango juice. It was definitely great and tasty. The service was also really good, attentive and fast that the ambiance of the store was calming and soothing. I couldn't agree more. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time! :)

You'll show up for a coffee, get one look at the pasty display, and leave with more. And it will be so worth it! Having recently moved to LIC, this has becoming a regular stop for me to get a chai latte (honestly with or without oat milk, still super thick and creamy), and more often then not I add on something to eat too. Their options are classic yet original, with multiple croissant, muffin, danish options and more! Everything comes out fast if you're on the move, but it's also a nice place to sit and enjoy your breakfast on a slower morning. Absolutely recommend checking it out and as I said, get something to eat too :)

Came to Black Star to catch up with friends and had a nice time. The service was a bit slow but I think it's because they were pretty busy! I saw they had a vegan croissant available but I didn't get to try it. I wish they had more vegan option too. I did get a matcha latte and thought it was pretty good.
